In April 2025, India experienced further reductions in inflation, with both general and food inflation rates reaching their lowest points in several years. This decrease was primarily due to declining prices in major *food categories and overall moderation in both rural and urban areas. Notably, food inflation witnessed a significant drop, falling below 2% for the first time since October 2021. Other sectors, including housing, education, health, and transport, also exhibited stable or moderate inflation rates, contributing to a comprehensive easing of inflationary pressures.
